Product pages rewritten around what shoppers searchLive
Every product page now opens with the words people actually type into Google, followed by a short “who it’s for” and a set of answered questions. Evangeline’s original product copy is kept in full.
What changed
  • Biopeptide Eye Restore now targets eye cream for dark circles, puffiness and fine lines, the biggest low-competition opportunity we found.
  • Biostem Daily Moisture Complex targets vitamin C moisturizer and azelaic acid cream.
  • Nourishing BioPro Cleanser targets exfoliating cleanser for dry and sensitive skin.
  • Biostem Serum and e-Cell Serum target anti-aging serum and plant stem cell serum.
  • Complete Routine set targets medical-grade skincare routine.
  • Every answer uses only facts from Evangeline’s own ingredient and directions information, and links to the matching products and Journal guides.
  • The Add to Cart button now sits right under the price, above the longer description, so the extra content never pushes it down the page.
“Medical-grade skincare in Canada”: guide, Shop All intro and homepage titleLive
“Medical-grade skincare” is searched around 1,900 times a month in Canada, and it fits Evangeline’s clinical, doctor-founded story. We built three pieces around it.
  • A new Journal guide, What is medical-grade skincare?, explaining what the term does and doesn’t mean in Canada and what to look for, with Dr. Riam Shammaa’s background and the Evangeline formulas as the example.
  • A short introduction on the Shop All page linking every product and the guide.
  • The homepage’s Google title changed from “Evangeline Beauty” to “Evangeline | Medical-Grade Skincare in Canada”.
Four new Journal guides answering top skincare questionsLive
Short, direct answers to questions Canadians search every month, with very little competition. Each one links to the Evangeline product that fits.
  • Vitamin C serum: before or after moisturizer?
  • Can you use niacinamide with retinol?
  • Does azelaic acid cause purging?
  • Eye cream for dark circles: what actually works
All six existing Journal articles refreshedLive
The original articles are kept word for word. Each now ends with a section connecting it to the right Evangeline products and a short set of answered questions built on related searches.
  • Plant stem cells, the 4-step routine, luxury self-care, niacinamide, vitamin C for sensitive skin (MAP) and anti-aging from the inside out.
  • New links between articles and products, so Google and readers can move from a question to the product that answers it.
Cleaner web addresses for two productsLive
Two products had leftover web addresses that didn’t match their names. Both now have clear addresses, and the old ones redirect automatically so no link or ranking is lost.
  • Nourishing BioPro Cleanser: now /products/nourishing-biopro-cleanser (was “e-cell-tri-nanosome-serum”).
  • Complete Routine set: now /products/complete-skincare-routine-set (was “mothers-day-bundle-copy”).
Every error from the site audit fixedLive
All three error types and the main warnings from the Ahrefs audit are fixed on the live site. Most of them came from a handful of root causes in the theme, so fixing those cleared many issues at once.
Errors fixed
  • Oversized images: 14 heavy images (up to 6 MB each) re-saved in lighter formats, most now under 300 KB. Same pictures, same place on every page, loading far faster on mobile.
  • Products with no direct links: product cards across the store linked through a redirecting address, so Google never saw a direct link to any product page. Every product link now points straight at the real product page.
  • Orphan pages: the empty Personal Care collection, the empty News blog and the internal homepage collection are now hidden from Google and the sitemap, so crawl attention goes to the pages that sell.
Warnings fixed
  • Search titles: every page title ended in “Pallianera’s EvangelineBeauty”. They now end in “Evangeline”, the name customers know, and long titles were shortened so Google shows them in full.
  • Meta descriptions: written for every page that was missing one, and the 13 that were too long rewritten, across products, collections, pages and Journal articles, using the search terms real buyers use.
  • Headings: the Contact, FAQ and Returns pages now have a proper main heading, and the homepage has one main heading instead of two.
  • Image alt text: added to all 34 product photos and videos and every Journal image, for Google Images and accessibility.
  • Redirect links: the account login link no longer sends crawlers through a redirect, and an outdated web address on the Returns page now points to beautybyevangeline.com.
  • Cart and search pages are now kept out of Google’s index, as they should be.
Checked after publishing
  • Every page title, description and heading checked on the live site.
  • 99 image files across the main pages checked, and none is over the size limit.
  • Full theme backup taken before any change.
Keyword research for the Canadian marketDone
Researched close to 400 search terms Canadian shoppers use for Evangeline’s products and ingredients, with search volume and ranking difficulty for each. The first results are already in use in the new product titles and descriptions.
What stood out
  • Shoppers search by problem and product type, like eye cream for dark circles, vitamin C moisturizer and exfoliating cleanser, much more than by science terms like “plant stem cells”.
  • “Medical grade skincare” is a real, reachable category in Canada and fits Evangeline’s clinical positioning.
  • Many ingredient questions (niacinamide, vitamin C, azelaic acid) are low-competition topics the Journal can own.
Full site audit run with Ahrefs: health score 91Done
Ahrefs crawled the whole site and checked every page for technical SEO problems. The site scored 91 out of 100, rated Excellent, which is a strong starting point. The full results are in the Site health section above.
What it found
  • 182 URLs crawled. 149 pages have no errors and 15 have at least one.
  • 15 errors, 64 warnings and 46 notices in total.
  • The biggest items: oversized images, pages with no internal links pointing to them, and missing or overlong meta descriptions.
  • No broken pages. Everything loads, with only 4 redirects.
Google Business Profile made liveLive
Evangeline now has a live Google Business Profile. It’s the brand panel people see on Google Search and Maps when they search for Evangeline by name.
Why it matters
  • Gives the brand an official, verified presence on Google next to the website.
  • A trusted source of brand facts that Google and AI assistants use to describe Evangeline correctly.
  • Opens the door to Google reviews, which build trust with new customers.
Ahrefs Web Analytics installed across the siteLive
Ahrefs’ analytics now runs on every page of beautybyevangeline.com. It shows where visitors come from, including search engines and AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity, next to the ranking data we use for SEO work.
What went live
  • Tracking script added to the live theme, so it loads on every page.
  • Cookie-free and lightweight, loads in the background without slowing pages down.
  • Checked on the live site after publishing.
Google Search Console connected for the whole siteLive
Google’s site ownership tag is now on every page of beautybyevangeline.com. This is what lets us see how Google crawls the store, which searches bring people in, and where pages rank.
What went live
  • Verification tag added to the live theme, so it loads on every page, on both the www and non-www address.
  • Checked on the live site after publishing.
  • Unlocks the sitemap submission and the search performance data every later step is measured against.
Live theme backed up before any changeDone
A full copy of the live theme was saved before we touched anything, so every change we make can be rolled back in one click.
  • Backup saved in the store as an unpublished theme, named so it is clearly ours.
  • Existing drafts and backups left exactly as they were.
  • Same rule for every future theme edit: back up first, then change.
Store reviewed: products, pages, Journal and themesDone
First pass over everything that can rank: 12 products, 6 pages, the Journal with its 10 articles, and all themes in the store. This is the starting inventory the audit and optimisation work runs against.
Secure SEO access to the store set upDone
A private “Adjoltz SEO” app connected to the store, so SEO work happens directly and quickly without passing logins around.
What it can and can’t touch
  • Can: products, pages, the Journal, theme code, navigation and redirects, translations, images and store analytics. Everything SEO needs.
  • Can’t: orders, customer data, payments, payouts, staff accounts or billing.
  • Evangeline can remove it at any time by uninstalling the app.
